While learning archery, Hodia campers practice focus, concentration and learn safety guidelines—all while having a great time trying something different. Some of our campers would make Robin Hood proud!
Arts & Crafts
Kids will spend time exercising the right side of their brains at camp! From bracelets, trinkets, and sculptures, our kids discover artistic talents, which some continue to pursue long after camp is over.
During the Carnival Party, campers are treated to a variety of exciting activities. From face painting to fortune telling to ring tosses, kids earn tickets to be exchanged for prizes at the end of the day!
Some of the nation’s most spectacular hiking trails are in our backyard! Hodia campers of every skill level get the opportunity to explore the Sawtooth Mountains including hikes to high mountain lakes.
The beautiful Alturas Lake provides the perfect playground for campers. Swimming, water-skiing, and canoeing are always a highlight. All water activities are supervised by trained and registered life guards.
From the strange, to the hilarious, to the unique, the Hodia Talent Show is always a sight to behold. With different personalities and skill sets, our campers bring new and fun things to this show each year!
During campfire, campers are treated to songs old and new and have the opportunity to unwind from their busy day. Many years, we have storytime at campfire!
Campers have the opportunity to explore the scenic Sawtooth Mountains from the back of a horse! This may be the start of a career in horse wrangling!
Over the Hill Day
Campers spend a fun day taking a day trip over Galena Summit for a picnic, swimming, ice skating, and a BBQ! This fantastically fun day is packed with education on how to manage diabetes on the go, while disconnected from your pump, and while doing one exercise after another.
During the evening mixers, campers get to hang out, play board games, dance, socialize and have fun with the whole camp!
