Welcome To HODIA Teen Camp
Hodia Teen Camp is Idaho's only camp for teens with diabetes. Located near beautiful Alturas Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains north of Sun Valley, Idaho, Camp Hodia offers an exciting experience for kids going into the 9th through 12th grade. The camp was founded in 1978 by Don Scott, a pediatric nurse at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center, who is still camp director today. Hodia is accredited by the American Camping Association, which demands rigorous safety and quality standards.
Teen camp offers a mixture of adventure programs, serious discussion groups, and hang out time. The program offers teens the opportunity to share common experiences, to meet others with diabetes, and to form meaningful friendships. Knowing diabetes is a major burden, we strive to find ways to carry the load. We provide diabetes education, but our main interest is preparation for adulthood.
