Donations
We Need Your Support
Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Donations made toward IDYP are tax deductible. If you need any other information about donations, please contact us by clicking here.
We are proud of our achievements over the past 25+ years, but we need to do even more in the future. We hope you will consider joining others in supporting Camp Hodia. Please consider a donation to Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs TODAY! The bulk of our programs are funded by donations. Indeed, in calendar year 2003, 68% of camp costs were covered by donations received while registration funds received covered only 32% of camp costs. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
Albertson's Community Partners Card
Do you use an Albertson's Community Partners Card when you shop at Albertson's? This is a no-strings-attached set-up with Albertson's where you shop like normal (there are no discounts or fees associated with this card and Albertson's does not have any information about the camp supporters Camp Hodia distributes these to) and Albertson's sends a check to Camp Hodia for a percent of the purchases Camp Hodia supporters make. If you are interested in getting one of these cards, please send an email to natalie@hodia.org that includes your name and address and you will receive one in the mail in 1-2 week.
Albertson's will contribute a percentage of each supporter's Community Partners Card eligible purchases to Camp Hodia. Prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco, postage stamps, money orders, special event and sporting event tickets, lottery tickets, Albertson's gift certificates or electronic gift cards, and other services are excluded from earning contributions. Contributions apply to merchandise sales after discounts, coupons and sales tax.
At the end of each quarter, Albertson's will issue a check to Camp Hodia for the contributions earned by their participating supporters.
Camp Hodia registers all cards and Albertson's and Camp Hodia do not retain any record of who has the cards. In fact, your card looks exactly the same as every other card issued to Camp Hodia supporters.
If you have further questions, feel free to contact Camp Hodia by emailing natalie@hodia.org, call IDYP at (208) 375-4333 or customers may call Albertson's Customer Service at 1-888-746-7252.
State of Idaho Employees Are you a State of Idaho employee? If so, then you are eligible to participate in the State Employees Charitable Giving Campaign COMPASSION IN ACTION. For information on how to contribute to Camp Hodia through the State Employees Charitable Giving Campaign, please log on to www.sec.idaho.gov. Camp Hodia is not a listed charity this year, but you can use the Write In option to specify your contribution to camp. Of course Camp Hodia always welcomes direct contributions as well, please click on the Donations tab. Feel free to email natalie@hodia.org if you have questions.
Contributions Contributions to Camp are tax-deductible. Checks can be made payable to Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs. If you have more questions, we would be happy to further discuss Camp Hodia's goals, needs and organization. For Endowment Fund or other information about Camp Hodia, please e-mail us or contact:

Current Needs Our goal is to make life more livable for children with diabetes. Our greatest need every year is to keep our camp fee affordable. The fee is different for each camp ($300-$350 for our summer programs and $150 for our winter program), but only because of generous donations of time and money by caring organizations and professional camp staff (actual value is about $1,200 per camper).
Many of our families are overwhelmed by the cost of this disease and cannot afford the $350 camp fee or transportation to and from camp. Hodia never has never turned away a child because of a family's inability to pay. Depending on the year, 50-65% of our camp families receive partial or full camperships. Remember, we are a 100% volunteer program—no salaries, no office; all our money goes directly to programs.
An endowment fund has been established that will eventually support Camp Hodia and other Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs for as long as they are needed. Won't you join the Camp Hodia team today?
Please contact us if you could specifically assist us with our needs this year!
We need your support!
