What to Bring

Summer Camp

Rubbermaid tubs work really well instead of a suitcase for your clothes. They fit under the bunks and keep everything clean and dry.

PLASTIC TUBS MUST BE NO DEEPER THAN 9” TO FIT UNDER THE BUNK. PLEASE DO NOT BRING LARGER TUBS. WE DO NOT HAVE ROOM TO STORE THEM IN THE CABINS.

Campers should bring the following items (click here for a printable list):

2 pairs STURDY shoes (tennis or walking—not flip flops or slippers)
Water shoes (Keens, water booties, old tennis shoes)
Brush/comb
Towel & washcloth
Long pants (at least two pairs)
Short pants
T-shirts
Pajamas
Sweatshirts
Swimsuit
Coat
Bug repellent (non-aerosol)
Rain jacket
Day pack (lightweight backpack)
Soap & shampoo
Toothbrush & toothpaste
Sun screen
Lip balm
Flashlight/fresh batteries
Underwear
6 pair socks
A copy of your immunization records
Test record
Bring (or know your) last A1c result
Lightweight gloves and thick socks for skating

Ski Camp

Campers should bring the following items:
1 pair STURDY shoes
4 pair socks
Pajamas
T-shirts
Long pants (at least two pairs)
Sunscreen
Underwear
Soap & shampoo
Lip salve
Toothbrush & paste
Brush/comb
Bathing suit
Dirty clothes bag
Helmet for skiing (if you own one, if not we have one you can borrow for the weekend)
Skis or Snowboard (unless you’re renting equipment)
Heavy coat for skiing
Gloves for skiing
Knit Hat for skiing
Please pack plenty of your own diabetes supplies

Wilderness Camp

1 Pair of STURDY hiking boots (NOT brand new, you will want them broken in)
8 Pairs of hiking socks, long enough to fit under your boots
1 Pair of water shoes (Tevas, water booties, Keens, old tennis shoes, etc)
Long pants (no more than 2 pairs)
Shorts (no more than 2 pairs)
Warm pajamas

Items NOT Allowed at any Camp

The following items are absolutely NOT allowed at camp by any camper or staff. Your participation at Camp Hodia means you agree to this. Possession of ANY of these is an immediate “send home” violation:
