“We will never be able to repay what Camp Hodia has done for our family. It gave our son confidence, healthier lifestyle, and each year, a renewed commitment to taking better care of himself. He has also acquired a compassion and heart for service”
Parent of camper

On the surface, Hodia is a camp for kids. But in reality, Hodia is so much more than that. We’ve created a place where kids who feel different get to feel normal. A place where kids who feel limited or held back get the chance to do things they never thought possible. At Hodia, we give our campers more than just a fun experience away from home. We give them hope, education, friendship, community, and independence.

But Hodia is only as strong as its supporters. Our nearly all-volunteer staff tirelessly works to provide for our campers, but with your support we can continue to give kids new opportunities and a sense of community. We can continue to teach kids how to take care of themselves, love themselves, and show them that they are not alone with their disease.

Join Hodia in our efforts to change these kids’ lives and give them the self-confidence to be the happy successful people we know they can be.

Each year, close to 50% of our summer camp families receive full or partial camperships.

Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our goal is to make life more livable for children with diabetes. Our greatest need every year is to ensure our programs are available to all area children with type 1 diabetes, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. The in-state camp fee is subsidized by nearly 50% for all of our participants, but only because of generous donations of time and money by caring donors, businesses, organizations, service groups and professional camp staff, all of whom are volunteer.

Many of our families are overwhelmed by the cost of this disease and cannot afford the camp fee or transportation to and from camp. Hodia never has never turned away a child because of a family’s inability to pay.

Join the Camp Hodia team today and help us make sure we’ll be around for children tomorrow.
